Some Photos from the Desert

My people and I just got done working on a big trail design project at Glenn Canyon National Recreation Area in Arizona. You might recognize the name as being at the beginning of the Grand Canyon. It's specfreakintacular there.

The short one needed some yoga instruction so I took it upon myself to assist. The problem was the relaxing music. I fell asleep. I'm not a very helpful dog sometimes but at least I'm cute.

I know it's been a while. I'm a horrible blog dog but you've got to give me a break. My people have been dragging me all over the place, in and out of meetings, parties, and bowling allies. That's right. Staff week and IMBA involves all of the above. It's tough but I'm the dog for the job. With Office week over we headed to Gooseberry Mesa on the Utah/Arizona border for a little late winter riding...

Gooseberry rocks. Go there. And for those of you who would enjoy a little cultural tourism, Colorado City is just down the road. If you haven't heard of it just pick up a copy of of "Under the Banner of Heaven".

We are psyched to have a couple rock stars with us for the next month. My peeps are training the new Trail Care Crew Kelly and Collins and I am helping them cope with life sans Keeta (their dog) who will be joining them on the road in a couple months. Here they are on their first ride of in the South West! They love it!

Anna and Kelly were loving the rocks. It was a nice change from the chilly chilly snow and it's great to have a couple cool cats rollin around with us!

A Mandala For You

There's a story to go with this photo but I won't tell it. It's a love story about these two people named Andre and Debbie who just celebrated their anniversary. If you look closely you can see that the two stones in the center are hearts and those stones were placed there by someone who was thinking of them and appreciating their love on a beautiful day in an amazing canyon on the Middle Fork of the Feather River in Idaho. It wasn't me because I was left behind while others got to paddle the Middle Fork and go to Costa Rica (pout pout). Happy Belated Anniversary!

We've Reached the Pacific!

There my not be a lot of people out there who enjoy traveling to the beach for a few days of cold, windy, rainy, storms but my peeps seem to think it's great. The waves have been huge and munchy, too much so for surfing but the beaches are beautiful and it's always fun to watch the short one panic when I run out into the surf to get the stick. I don't think she knows I used to be a life gaurd.

Yesterday Anna took me, my good buddy Ellie and our friend Pete from New York up to check out the Yurt and take in the views. That's Mount Hood in the background. It's good to be home.

Pete proves to be a proficient tosser of snow and kept us all quite entertained.

I can fly.
